We try to ensure that Dental treatment is affordable both by offering different treatment options as well as making payment plans available. In fact, approximately 90% of our fees are lower than the average fee for service charged by Australian Dental Association members (as published in their yearly fee survey). Our Examination and Clean fees are lower than the concessional Department of Veteran Affairs fees.
It is practice policy that payment is made on the day of treatment unless other arrangements have been made. To facilitate this, we offer EPOS facilities as well as Hicaps electronic health fund claim facilities.
Veteran Affairs patients are welcome. If you are a new patient, please ensure that you bring your veteran affairs card with you so that we can process the paperwork smoothly.
We welcome patients supported by the Medicare funded Child Dental Scheme. The Scheme provides up to $1000 in Medicare dental rebates over a two year period for eligible patients aged between 2 and 17 years for a range of dental services. Geelong Dental Care is pleased to bulk bill for diagnostic services, cleans, fluoride treatments, and all dental treatment provided on baby teeth. Other dental services covered by the scheme may attract some out of pocket costs. For more details about the scheme and our policies, click here.
A limited number of appointments are available for patients to be treated with the Barwon Health issued dental voucher. Under this scheme, a small co-payment is required.
We are not contracted to any health fund as a "preferred provider" as we firmly believe that your treatment should be dictated by your clinical needs and your own requirements rather than by private Health Fund Bureaucrats setting arbitrary treatment rules and regulations.
